Overview

The first book in the popular series by Rick Riordan Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, is a playful introduction to the world of mestizos, and heroes of Greek mythology. Hilarious Chapter securities ("We have a Zebra in Las Vegas"), chapter full of action and exciting, great voice and intelligent character input, readers of all ages (and especially in the age group 10 to 13) will be immersed in the world of Percy, unable to put the book down.

History

Twelve years Percy Jackson was ejected from many schools. It is dyslexic, ADHD and has problems seem to find it. So the last thing you want to do is get a kick Yancy Academy. My Recommendation

Although the plot seems unnecessarily complicated, works as a whole, in order to keep the reader hooked. There is a general story together (the search for Percy, and the beginning of a war that Kronos spans) holds all the little pieces, but in many ways, the smaller side stories with lesser gods and myths (such as Medusa run aunt M Garden Gnome Emporium or Procrustes, who are a mattress store), the funny story has read.

Riordan knows inside and out myths, and knows that the best way to make them interesting for children. It also has the advantage of using two children - a great hero Percy and a fascinating character - and girls - Annabeth is an incredibly strong and intelligent heroine Lightning Thief offers a fantastic start to a series of fun ..
