The Invention of Hugo Cabret: A Superb size
Play The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick is like walking into a movie in black and white 1930 Why? This is due to the unusual use of illustrations in books Selznick Randolph Caldecott Medal in 2008 receiving the most prestigious awards in the United States for displaying picture books. However, the book is not the typical picture
Book.
Instead, The Invention of Hugo Cabret is a novel for children 9-14 years old, founded in 1931 in Paris. The book is about 525 pages; 284 pages hold tight pencil drawings Selznick. Like traditional picture books and comics, but both pictures and text are necessary to tell the story. As the title-page describes the book "a novel in words and pictures." With text, move many sequential double-page illustrations without a word the reader through time, space and history of the orphans Hugo.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret: My recommendation
I highly recommend the Invention of Hugo Cabret for children from 9 to 14 years old and adults. I very much appreciate. I also recommend the reader to read reluctant to quality, but usually not interested in reading. It would also be good to read aloud to some younger children. Since the representations are an integral part of the story, I do not use, read aloud one or two children sitting next to you and not to a group. I am afraid that, in a group of parameters that lost the feeling of stepping into a movie and after Hugo on his journey of adventure and discovery (Scholastic Press, 2007. ISBN: 9780439813785)
During the filming of the movie version of The Invention of Hugo Hugo Brian Selznick was involved in the production and wrote an excellent book on this subject, Comrade Hugo movie: behind the scenes to see how a book was Amado commander of photos , The rear movement, wrote another excellent book reader hundreds of illustrations, astonished.
